Palesteen Williams - Owner/LMT
Palesteen graduated from Cortiva Institute for Massage Therapy in Seattle, Washington in 2012, completing the 1000 hour program. She is an active member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). She is also the volunteer coordinator for massage therapists at Daryel, Somali Women's Wellness Project in Seattle.
Upon graduation she started her career as an independent massage practitioner at Clara Spa Salon & Studio in Tacoma, Washington. In December 2013 Palesteen became the owner of Urban Healing Arts Studio, LLC, now located in Shoreline, Washington.
Palesteen takes a holistic approach to massage, which means that massage is only one facet of healing. She will help you plan a daily routine of stretching, taking into consideration your activities at work, at home, and at play. She adjusts each session for ongoing clients, assessing what is or is not working, and includes research between sessions to improve your progress.
She stays in close touch with colleagues to compare and improve methods, to help her arrive at the best possible treatments for you. Occasionally, she will follow up with a client between sessions to see how they are doing. Palesteen integrates deep tissue, myofascial and neuromuscular techniques to address specific areas for your short-term or chronic issues.
